Sweetheart Parrot Fish

Sweetheart parrot fish are actually a hybrid between 2 different species of fish
so they do not have a scientific name because they are not a true species of fish. They are then dyed (injected with dye) so that they will have a heart on their sides. These fish are very responsive to their owners and actually enjoy being hand fed, which is why a lot of aquarium owners enjoy having these fish in their aquarium. Many of these owners also really like the fact that sweetheart parrot fish really are not difficult fish to take care of either. It is just a matter of having the right food, water and aquarium set up for them. However, this is something that is true of all fish, especially salt water fish.
Sweetheart parrot fish rarely, if ever, disturb any of the other fish that you have in your aquarium. Whenever they are moved into a new aquarium they will hide and sulk for a few days, which is something that dyed fish tend to do more than other fish. However, if other fish are out swimming about, your fish will feel safer and believe that there are no predators around.
The sweetheart parrot fish can grow quite large. In fact, it has been reported that these fish can grow up to 6 inches in length and have a very large body size too. This will happen really fast if you take good care of your fish. You will need to remember this, especially if you only have a small aquarium.
